Zuka Juice was founded in 1995 by Dave Duffin in Provo Utah, Zuka Juice quickly gained popularity and it grew to 96 locations nationwide. With its colorful advertising and tasty fruity treats people couldn't get enough of the Zuka Juice.
Role - Senior Designer
• Designed Point of purchase and in-store graphics to highlight seasonal and new flavors.
• Developed new campaigns and content for the transition of Zuka Juice into Jamba Juice.
•Designed promotional items such as mugs and t-shirts to be sold in the stores.
In February 1999 Jamba Juice acquired Zuka Juice and its 96 locations. Originally the Zuka Juice brand was to keep its name and identity in a few markets but by early 2000 it was obvious that it was time to transition to one company. So a marketing campaign was created to bring both brands together as one.
Zuka tribe goes Jama! was developed to help the loyal customers of both brands accept the merger with the bright fun colors that both Companies used in their marketing with a joyful sun and two free-form Characters holding up their smoothie cups to the sky. It was a true smoothie celebration.
